The Delphine House, designed for a small Malian lot takes advantage of a straight forward organization which treats the house as a single courtyard. The two story high living room occupies the center and other spaces evolve around it. The living room boundaries bleed into the outdoors and blur the distinction between living area and courtyard. This design strategy is similar to the one employed by the nomadic tent to funnel breezes in an intensely hot climate.
