Based on the premise of living with elemental needs, this cabin provides a simple space which begs to be left uncluttered and challenges its occupant to be minimal. This translucent structure takes after traditional Japanese architecture which is based on a single central pillar (daikokubashira) supporting a complex series of rafters and struts. However, here the structure is simplified and is made of posts, beams and rafters which create a simple and open space. The skin is made of a translucent material which recalls the shoji screen.
